November 19, 1934 - April 11, 2022
MAYHLE, Juanita “Nita” Robbins Nita went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2022 in Spokane Valley, WA. She was born on November 19, 1934, to Charles and Elsie Robbins, the youngest of four children. She was raised in San Diego, CA where she attended school, graduating from High School in 1953. She accepted Jesus as her Savior in a Sunday School classroom along with her two friends, who became her sisters in the Lord and lifelong friends. Nita married Bernard Mayhle on March 1, 1953 in San Diego, CA, and they were married for 62 years at the time of his passing in 2015. Together they had two children, Vic Mayhle and Bev Mayhle Hosek. The family moved to Seattle, WA, then to Santa Cruz, CA, and then back to Seattle where they made a home in the Greenwood neighborhood for over 35 years. In 1990 they relocated to Spokane. Nita worked for five years at Christa Ministries in Seattle, while her children attended Kings High School in Shoreline, WA. Nita then went on to teach as a Kindergarten and Preschool teacher in three different Christian Schools, in both Seattle and Spokane. She was passionate about and loved working with children. Nita loved her Lord and Savior dearly and served in the church every opportunity she could. She taught Sunday School for 35 years, served as a volunteer for Mothers of PreSchoolers, and was active in Bible Study Fellowship. Nita’s hobbies included crocheting, adult coloring books, reading, and listening to Christian music. Both Nita and Bernard were active members of the Gem State Hudson club. Nita had a gracious and warm personality, a beautiful and compassionate heart, and loved those around her dearly and prayed for them faithfully. Nita lived a blessed life and was excited to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and be reunited with her husband, Bernard. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard Mayhle and her siblings, Louise (Robbins) Weems and Jack Robbins. She is survived by her children Vic Mayhle and Bev Hosek, brother Charles Robbins, five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
