Joyce E. Wagar

WAGAR, Joyce Eileen (Steele) Age 81 - Joyce was born on October 7, 1935 in Haynes, ID, to Callistus Loyal Steele and Helen Louise Steele (Stevenson); she passed away on December 1, 2016, at home in Greenacres, WA. Joyce attended West Valley High School. She married Bruce Wagar on New Years Eve, 1953, and was his partner in the training of race horses at Playfair. Joyce also loved to travel; found great pleasure in growing flowers and was queen-cook for every holiday. Joyce lived for and loved her family; she will be dearly missed. Joyce is survived by her husband, Bruce Wagar; son, Kevin Wagar (Kay) and family; daughter Annette Wagar; brothers, Royce Steele, Dean Steele, and their families; daughter-in-law, Doris Wagar; granddaughters, Wendy Applegate (Matt), Abbie Shepherd (Kyle) and Katie Sather (Josh), and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Wagar; sister, May Ella Scarano; and brother, Ronald Steele. A memorial service will be held on December 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Intersection Church, 905 N McDonald Rd, Spokane Valley, WA.
