John was born on October 18, 1932 to John, Sr and Bernice Stone in Pensacola, FL and passed away on September 29, 2015 in Spokane, WA. He spent 37 years in Walla Walla, WA. John also served his country in the US Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service. Following his service, he worked as an air traffic controller for the FAA for 19 years. John is survived by his 4 children; Troy Stone (Laurie Ann), Erika Mee (Brett), Lori Stone (Dana), and Tara Stone; his brother Bill Stone; as well as 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria; his parents; and his sister, Joy Bauer (Stone). A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
