John H Koesterman

September 17, 1943 - February 19, 2021

John Koesterman, age 77, left us on February 19th 2021. Born in Deer Lodge Montana and growing up on the streets of Spokane at age 17 he joined the Navy achieving the rank of BMCM(DV/SS). Later in life (then known as Papa), he became master chief babysitter. His hobbies included restoring his Ford Falcon, turning his ½ ton pickup into a ¾ ton pickup and recharging his golf game. He leaves behind his best friend and wife Elizabeth (Heidi) Koesterman, sister Sharon Lopane (Mike Lopane) and numerous children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. brothers Wayne, Tim and sister Janice. Family request donations be given to VFW Post 51 in Spokane. A private memorial service will be planned for a later date.
