John Gene Melton

April 04, 1937 - May 15, 2013

Born April 4, 1937 in Bell, California, John passed away May 15, 2013 in Spokane, Washington. He was stationed at Fairchild AFB where he served in the US Air Force, and worked several years for Burlington Northern Railroad, where he retired. He was a lifetime member of VFW 1435 and DAV 6. John was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 2001. He is survived by his life partner, Lori Church; step-children, Jeff, Sharon and Kathy; precious pets, Binky and Little Bit; and numerous friends, especially Boots, Sabrina, Kathy (Reba), Sharla, and the rest of the gang at Sam and Domâ??s. A celebration of his life will be held June 2, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Sam and Domâ??s, 2429 E. Sprague, Spokane, WA.
