Jim Allen Ledbetter Sr

August 1. 1950 - July 11, 2024

In the early morning hours of

July 11th, Jim A. Ledbetter, Sr.

passed away ending his battle

with COPD. He was born August

1st, 1950, to James L. Ledbetter

and Phyllis (White) Ledbetter in

Clarkston, WA. Jim’s twin brother,

Jay, passed away soon after birth.

He had older twin sisters, Sharla

and Darla.

While he did not have an ideal

childhood, he did have fond

memories of flying model

airplanes with his dad, and his dad taking him flying in his plane and

the breakfasts afterward. In his high school years, he had stories that

would curl your hair and wonder how he and Stan never got caught.

Jim started working in the grocery business soon after high school.

He worked with his dad in Great Falls, MT, for a while. Then went on to

Rosauers briefly then started his 30+ years at Safeway. He retired in

2016.

Jim loved to cook. Thanksgiving meals were the best. And if not

cooking, then it was the barbecue. Give him a thick juicy ribeye with

sauteed mushrooms and he was in heaven. Add lobster to that and it

couldn't get any better.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jay; and

sisters, Sharla and Darla. He is survived by his wife, Ginger (Virginia);

son, Jim Jr. (Michelle) of Spokane; daughter, Kate Razey of Kennewick;

stepdaughter, Nicole Heath (Steven Shackleford) of Aurora, IL; stepson,

Christopher Heath of Spokane; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren;

and three great-granddaughters.

My dear, sweet, Jim, you are and always will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17th, at Jack & Dan's,

1226 N Hamilton St, from 3-5 PM. Please come and join in celebrating

Jim.
