August 11, 1960 - August 5, 2024
With heavy hearts, were sad to announce, on the evening of August 5th , Jeff (Jeffrey) Don Erickson passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Manu’s Adult Family home in Spokane WA. Jeff was born in Kenmare, North Dakota to Ruth and Donald Lance on August 11th 1960, and later adopted by Stanley Erickson in 1965. Jeff graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle WA in 1978.Jeff lived most of his adult life in south Seattle, working in the construction trades installing HVAC systems in schools and public buildings throughout the Pacific Northwest. Jeff was married and divorced and had no children of his own. Jeff had a passion for fishing, camping and sports and he played on many softball teams with a lot of his life long friends. As a family we grew up spending weekends, holidays and summer vacations on the Skagit River up by Concrete Wa, and Jeff rarely missed an opening day fishing, where he could be found on the shores fishing for that big one. As a young adult Jeff was a member of the #1 Seattle Fraternal Order of Eagles volunteering and supporting his community for many years. Jeff was know by friends as being happy go lucky, (life of the party), easy to laugh at a good joke and at himself! Jeff was a friend to all animals, including his beloved chow dog Bear bear.
Jeff is survived by sister Helen (Keith) Horton of Mullan ID, sister Charlene (Lawrence Bingham) Erickson of Spokane Valley WA, sister Jacqueline (Jeff) Lance/Richie of Billings, MT, brother Craig Erickson of Puerto Vallarta MX, niece’s Lanita Delarosa of Spokane WA, India (Xerxes) Savali of Billings MT, and nephew Gunner Richie of Billings Mt, Great niece’s Karina Lastra, Morgan Gaskin, and Great nephew Eli Delarosa all from Spokane WA, and Great Great niece’s Lillie Gadley and Imahni Peterson of Spokane WA. Also followed by many cousins and Aunts and Uncles in North Dakota, California, Montana, Minnesota ,Wyoming and Oregon.
Jeff is preceded in death by his beloved Mother, Ruth Erickson , Father, Stanley Erickson and biological Father, Donald Lance
A Celebration of Life is planned on October 5th , 2024 , from 3:00 to 6:00 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located in White Center, 10452 15th Ave S.W. Seattle, WA
In lieu of flowers, should friends and family desire, contributions should be made to their local Hospice.
