James Paul Williams

October 28, 1969 - September 19, 2017

James Paul Williams, died peacefully in Spokane, WA at the age of 47, with his family at his bedside after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul, known as Chilly Willi to many friends and family, is survived by his wife, Brenda; his children Makayla, Jordan and Kaden; his mother and stepfather, Maryann and Robert Byrd; his aunt and uncle, Gloria and David Williams; sisters Pamela Bennett and Donia Kresse and numerous extended family members and friends. Paul was born on October 28, 1969 in Greenville, SC. As a teenager, Paul moved to Spokane Valley with David and Gloria Williams, graduating from Central Valley High School in 1989. He had incredible football and track careers, earning trophies and setting records on behalf of his school and team. He met the love of his life, Brenda after high school, and they were blessed with three children into their lives, all of whom consider Paul an Amazing Father, coaching softball and baseball for all of his children until last year. A long time Liberty Lake resident after high school, Paul explored new challenges for his career, even earning his EMT certification and promoting to management at Cook Security. A funeral is scheduled for September 29, 2017 at Fairmont Memorial Park at 5200 W. Wellesley Ave in Spokane at 2:00pm.
