LAWHEAD, James Francis ""Sarge"" Passed away April 2, 2013 at the age of 87. Jim was born in Robinson, Illinois to Dennis and Leola Lawhead. Jim enlisted in the army at the age of 18 and earned the rank of Master Sergeant. Jim met and married the love of his life, Setsuko Yamada, while serving in Japan. They recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. He retired from the military after serving in World War II, the Korean War and in Vietnam. After retiring from civilian employment, Sarge became an avid golfer. He spent many happy days golfing and ordering the folks at Hangman Valley Golf Course around. Jim was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed. Jim is survived by his sons: J.F. (Nancy) and Frank (Gaye); ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
