James Edgar Penney

April 11, 1937 - August 27, 2015

With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grand-father; James E. Penney after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer on August 27th, 2015. Jim was born on 4/11/1937 to Bonta and Lillian Penney. Jim met the love of his life, JoAnn and they married on June 22nd 1974. They had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last summer. Jim had worked at Consolidated Supply for 52 years. After his retirement Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening, his family time and traveling with Jo. - Jim was an avid Mariner and Seahawk fan, never missing a game. Jim leaves behind his wife of 41 years, JoAnn. His children and spouses Carla (Greg) - DeWolf, Brian (Karla) Womack, and Bruce Womack. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Kim, Nick, Kris, Karl, Derek, Megan and Alyssa. 5 great grand children, Kayla, Jacob, Aiden, Kristion, and Jeremiah. His 2 dogs Putzy and Daisy who were always by his side. He is also survived by his brother, John Penney and his sister Gloria Wash. Jim touched all of our lives and we are all better for it. He will be greatly missed by all his family. His passing will forever leave a hole in our hearts. At Jims request there will not be a funeral service held but the family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date. Community Cremation & Funeral - Spokane Valley - 13127 E.
