Isaac went into rest peacefully on June 2nd, 2025, at 18 years of age, which was far beyond his life expectancy. He is finally running, playing, and breathing well in heaven. Isaac inspired hundreds of people with his resilience and joyful spirit. He had many caregivers who had the honor of taking care of him. With a personality bigger than life, he didn’t have to say a word, but you could easily get him to smile big with his favorite songs and get big belly laughs when acting silly with him. He enjoyed watching his favorite movies and playing with his iPad. But his favorite activity was spending time with his family.
Isaac played a big part, along with his family, in opening a medically complex group home in Spokane called Ashley House. In 2022, he became their first patient and was the star of the show. We are beyond grateful for the amazing staff there who loved and cared for him until the very end. We also want to thank the special education teachers and therapists who loved on him over the years through District 81.
Isaac is survived by his parents, Sam and Colleen Grove; his big sister, Autumn (Ethan) Kopplin; his grandparents, Don and Carolyn Grove; his grandfather, Bill Park; and his grandmother, Debbie Hampy; his cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean (Addy) Park, and his beloved great-grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 3 pm. It will be located at Living Hope Church, 918 E. Garland Ave, Spokane, WA.
In Lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made to Ashley House in his memory. Please visit https://app.dvforms.net/api/dv/460kj0 for more information on how to contribute.
