August 30, 1933 - June 08, 2017

Helen (Age 83), of Colbert, WA, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2017 with her loving family by her side. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, August 5th at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Pastor Mike Riddle will be officiating. Helen was born in Watertown, South Dakota on August 30, 1933. She graduated from Waldport High School in Oregon. Helen was married to Sherman Barnes on December 30, 1956, they were married for 56 years. Helen worked for Carnation Company before raising her family, then went on to work for JC Penny for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling with Sherman, entertaining her special friends, and spending time with her beloved family. Helen is survived by her children, twin daughters Erin Barnes, Eve (Mike) Graham, granddaughter Sarah Russell, great-grandchildren Vailen and Titus Russell, granddaughter Emily Graham, daughter Jill (Marty) Pace, son Scott (Jody) Barnes, grandchildren Milanna and Isaac Barnes. The family would like to thank the wonderful Critical Care staff at deaconess Hospital in Spokane for their compassionate care for our Mother.
