February 4, 1964 – July 26, 2026

Gregory Donald Kienzle died peacefully July 26, 2026 after a long illness.  Greg was born to Robert Lee Kienzle and Carole Janice Duncan-Kienzle on February 4, 1964 a

t Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA.  He was raised alongside four others: Linda J. Cooper (Dennis), Teresa L. Smick (Alan), Debora S. MacDonald (Ed Titus), and Sean R. Kienzle.

Greg moved to the Seattle area and married Kimberly Pettingell on August 23, 2003.  They welcomed two children, Emily in 2004 and Kyle in 2009 and have one dog, Max.

Greg attended Westview Elementary, Salk Middle School, Shadle Park High School, and Eastern Washington University.  He worked at the Ridpath Hotel, Rent-A-Center, Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing.

When Greg was 8 years old, he fell ill with a mysterious illness from which he nearly died – he was in the hospital for over a month and took him almost three years to fully recover.  He was always a little shy and introverted and disliked people making a fuss over him.  His mother would often dress him up in a cute little suit, but would always have his play clothes ready to change into later.  Greg was passionate about his extensive action figure and comic book collections and was an avid Xbox player. In addition, he was one of the Seahawks’ biggest fans and was a season ticket holder since 1996.  His greatest joy in life was his two children.  He loved spending time with them and watching them both grow into kind, loving, respected young adults.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Linda, and his brother-in-law Dennis.
