Gordon L. Allen~ AKA Gordy, AKA Gordo, AKA “The Old Fox,” AKA “Stump”, Gordon was born in Grand Forks, ND on March 10, 1943. The family moved to Spokane when he was a young child, and he grew up in the East Boone District with his brother Eugene. The stories of those two are endless. Gordon attended North Central High School and played numerous sports, baseball being his very favorite. He was a catcher on many rec leagues after high school. Gordon started working on the Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad right out of high school, and retired as a Yardmaster after 43 years of service. Gordon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hildor and Hazel Allen. He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Gleason) Allen, his two sons; Eric (Stephanie), step-grandsons, Winston & Wyatt, son Mark Allen (Chrissy), two grandsons, Chad and Aaron Allen, his brother Eugene Allen, and numerous nephews. Our prayers have been answered that Gordon would go in peace to be with his Mom and Dad. He continued to fail to the disease of dementia. Gordon rest in peace – we love you.
