Gloria Rae Richmond

February 14, 1937 - May 04, 2014

A lifelong resident of Spokane, she passed away May 4, 2014, due to a five week battle with Lymphoma. Gloria was raised in the Hillyard area by her maternal grand- parents, Edward J. and Mary Gokey. Gloria met her future husband August Richmond at the Hillyard Hijinks, and they were married over 60 years. From their union came three children, Michael Richmond (Kris), Patricia Cole (Rob), Kathleen Gossett, (Robert); five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Gloria was a strong woman. She overcame a difficult environment as a toddler to become a source of strength and love as a homemaker to her family. She loved to nurture her flowers, she was an avid reader, and she loved to laugh. A memorial service will take place at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Medical Lake, WA, on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to , 315 W.
