SANTANTONIO, Gerald Husband of Carolyn Santantonio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 28, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. The cause was a cerebral hemorrhage. Known to his friends and family as Jerry, he was a man of great good humor and camaraderie. His passions were golf, travel, and particularly to his vacation home in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico and time with his large family and many friends. Jerry was born in New York City to James Santantonio and Gertrude Santantonio nee Regiano, on October 25, 1930. After high school he served in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1955 and was posted in London where he met and married his first wife, the late June Brimfield. Following his service he graduated from Pacific States University and then worked as an engineer at both Bendix Aerospace and Lockheed Aerospace. His great personality and ability to connect with people propelled him to a long and successful career with radio station KFWB in Los Angeles, part of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Corporation. While in Los Angeles he met Carolyn Majors whom he married in 1968. After he retired from Westinghouse he acted as the quiet support in the background to his wife's advertising agency, Kelly/Brady. Jerry and Carolyn moved to Spokane in 1993 and subsequently moved Kelly/Brady here also. Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn; his daughter, Kimberly of Woodland Hills, California; his step-son, Kevin Majors; step-daughter, Kelly Harries and her husband Paul Harris, all of Salt Lake City; step-grandchildren, Brook Coles, Amanda Beal, Adam Majors, Tyler Harris, Molly Long, Spencer Harris; and nine great-grandchildren.
