Obituary for Gerald Delmer Boyd
Gerald D Boyd (Butch) age 82 of Spokane Valley, passed away January 22, 2024.
He was born in Burlington, Washington on October 21, 1941. Gerald graduated from Soap Lake High School, as he would always say “top 20 of his class”, of course there were 10 girls and 10 boys!
He was married to Glenda Boyd (deceased) on December 20, 1963 in The Dalles Oregon. They were best friends for all the years they had together.
Butch worked in the Cable TV industry for many years and retired after working for multiply companies in Oregon, Washington, California and Idaho. He worked hard for many years to support his family, he was very successful. After retirement Butch and Glenda relocated back to Spokane where they had established roots while the kids were growing up. Family gatherings and events were special to Butch, he loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids when he could.
Butch is survived by 2 children, Scott Boyd (Brenda) of Colville WA and Shellie Clark of Spokane Valley. Grandchildren Katelyn Michel (Andrew) of Jamestown ND, Brice Clark of Spokane Valley, Elizabeth Clark of Blanchard ID and Melanie Scott of Spokane Valley. He was blessed with 7 great grandchildren. Brothers Linn Boyd (Marty) of Mesquite NV and Bruce McKibben (Susan) of Nampa ID. Sisters Zelda Stewart of Winters TX and Marilee Donovan of Vancouver WA.
A service will be held at Opportunity Christian Church, 708 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley WA on March 8th at 1pm.
