January 10, 1922 - February 18, 2018
Frank, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, born January 10, 1922 was taken from us on February 18, 2018. Frank was a lifelong resident of Spokane. He grew up in a large and loving family. He grew up speaking Swedish and didn’t learn English until he went to public school. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a young man and was a World War II veteran who served in the South Pacific. Soon after being discharged from the Navy, he married Kathern Virginia Coram who was his pen pal throughout the war. They enjoyed over 40 happy years of marriage until Kathern passed in 1989. Together they raised their sons, Frank Jr. and Eric. They spent time together playing bridge with friends, hosting excessive holiday celebrations with their family, and spending summers at their lake spot. Frank later remarried and has spent the last twenty years in retirement with his second wife, Ruth Erickson. Frank was very active in the community. He enjoyed memberships in several clubs including the Spokane Valley Elks, Eagles and Shriners. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Spokane Valley Elks. He retired as Vice President from Pepsi-Cola Bottling of Spokane after working there for over 30 years. His outdoor interests included hunting with his sons, fishing with his children and grandchildren and RV camping with his wife and friends. Frank was very active in his grandchildren’s lives, and always had candy and soda pop readily available. Frank is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons Frank Larson Jr. and Eric Larson; four grandchildren and their spouses, Julia and Jason Johnson, Lawrence and Julie Larson, Frank and Sarah Larson III, and Kimberly Larson and four great-grandchildren, Kathern, Tara, Skyla, and Hudson.
