Evie D. Crossman, a mother, grandmother, friend, and lover of animals passed away in Spokane, WA May 25, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born to Bob and Win Dyche in Michigan on August 10, 1953 and was one of two children.

Evie is survived by her daughter Maria Crossman, son Robert Crossman, son-in-law Jay Williams, daughter-in-law Val Crossman, her four grandchildren, Harper, Ryker, Carlie, Alden, her brother Hugh Dyche, loads of friends, and two sweet kitties.

Throughout her life, Evie demonstrated unwavering faith in God, and a deep devotion to her community especially the unhoused and veteran communities.

A woman of remarkable faith, Evie faced numerous health challenges with resilience and grace, often surprising others with her strength and ability to swim miles at a time. She tried living most of her life in service to others which was grounded in her faith. She spent the latter part of her life advocating for, feeding, and housing veterans and members of the unhoused community.

A memorial service honoring Evie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1pm, at The Dream Center, 2128 N Pines Rd suite 17, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.

In lieu of flowers, please consider buying a meal or coffee for someone else, making a donation to your favorite nonprofit, singing at the top of your lungs, dancing to your favorite songs, and living life out loud.
