Elmer passed away quietly at his home on May 22, 2014. Elmer is survived by his son Brian (Rachel), daughter Jennifer, and four granddaughters as well as his sisters Clara, Pamela, Verna and brothers Phillip and Frank. He is preceded in death by his parents, Estella and Elmer Sr., and his sister, Crystal Watt. A life-long resident of the Inland Northwest, Elmer had the opportunity to travel throughout the northwest during his employment with Union Pacific Railroad eventually settling in Latah, Washington with his family. He spent his later years in Davenport, Washington, a community he lived in as a teen and always had fond memories of. Elmer was a voracious reader with a curious mind, loved to fish and had a sense of humor in regards to the absurdities of everyday life. He volunteered with local organizations and enjoyed lending a hand to keep himself busy. Private burial will occur at Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport at a later date.
