Elizabeth Barline Boyington

Becky was born on August 7, 1929, in Spokane and passed away on July 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Conrad Boyington, a brother, Jerome Conrad Barline, Jr., her parents, Jerome Conrad & Catharine Hay Barline, grandparents, Governor Marion E. & Lizzie Hay, and her former husband, Keith T. Boyington. Becky graduated from Lewis & Clark HS, the University of Idaho, and received her Masters's Degree from Eastern Washington College. Becky was a 65+ year member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. "Mrs. B" taught English for 16 years at Ferris HS, Garry MS, retiring from Shadle HS in 1982. Becky enjoyed being involved with Kappa Kappa Gamma, Junior League, Women's Architectural League, Camp Fire Girls, & Job's Daughters. She was a charter member of Plymouth Congregational Church, active in Deaconess Women's Auxillary, and Edgecliff Scope. She especially treasured her many adventures with Dr. Elizabeth Welty. Survived by daughters Rebecca (Doug) Johnson, Allison (Jim) Steinmetz-Scrimshaw, daughter-in-law Juli Boyington, 5 grandsons: Jeremy (Roseann) Johnson, Kyle (Jenna) Steinmetz, Lincoln (Jennifer) Boyington, Brad (Lanai) Steinmetz, Daniel (Emily) Johnson, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Fairmount Sunset Chapel and Mausoleum on Saturday, August 5, at 11:00 pm, reception to follow. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association (JDRF) Make a Memorial Donation - JDRF
