Elfrieda F Kruger

May 04, 1928 - July 08, 2017

Elfrieda Fay Kruger (age 89) was called to the Lord, July 8, 2017. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil, in 1999 who was retired USAF. They were stationed in Hawaii, Japan, and Germany. They returned to Spokane in 1959. - Freddie was strong, talented and quick witted. She was skilled at beading earrings and other jewelry projects. Her other hobbies included entertaining, board and word games and watching sports. Freddie also enjoyed boating and fishing. Cecil and Freddie were charter members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 82, which began in 1966. She enjoyed the comradery of the Flotilla throughout her lifetime. Elfrieda was also a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church since 1960. - Freddie is survived by her daughter Karen(Ross); son, Dan(Cynthia); grandson, David; granddaughter, Kris(Jim); granddaughter Rebekah(Stan); 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 1 cousin and 5 great grandchildren. Freddie also leaves behind many treasured friends. - A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12th at Gesthsemane Lutheran Church, 11315 E. Broadway Ave. - Memorials can be made to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Hospice of Spokane or Cancer Care Northwest Foundation. A special thank you to Dr. Danko Martincic of CCNW for his care.
