Passed away peacefully at Valley Hospital on October 3, 2017. - Dorothy was born in Spokane, Washington, to parents Nick and Mabel Boures on June 30, 1927. She graduated from West Valley High School in 1945. Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Bill Ramey, August 31, 1947. She worked as a cashier/hostess at the Greek American Club, Spokane Elks Lodge, and Playfair Race Track. - Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was extremely proud of all their accomplishments. Dorothy enjoyed hosting dinner parties and entertaining family and friends at home in the Spokane Valley, as well as up at the family cabin on Lake Pend Oreille. Socializing with friends from her Bridge and Pinochle Card Groups and playing Bingo were two of her favorite past times. Vacationing with family and attending conventions with Bill were also highlights. A favorite was a trip to Aruba she and husband Bill took with their two daughters, sons-in-law, and two youngest grandsons. Daily Bingo games under the palm trees with Grammie were a big hit with the grandsons. Dorothy especially delighted in trips with her sisters. She enjoyed telling tales of their East Coast trip, as well as a trip to Brazil. - Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill, of 68 years, sister Frances Lyman, and brothers Harry and Bill Boures. - Dorothy is survived by her children Sherry Stanosch (Joe), Bill Ramey, Jr. (Erin), Barbara Hahto (Gaylen), grandchildren Jennifer Ramey, Kurt Stanosch (Janie), Keith Hahto, Ryan Hahto, great grandchildren Kaleigh and Jeremiah, sister Betty Caria (Syl), brother Ronnie Boures (Sue), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and several cousins. - A Celebration of Life Service will be held Nov. 4, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99205, followed by a Graveside Service at 1:00 P.M. at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 Cheney- Spokane Rd., Spokane, WA 99224. - In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
