WEISE, Don Don Weise was born to George and Marie Weise on February 28, 1936 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and went to be with the lord on May 26, 2013 in Spokane. While in grade school, he moved to Twinfalls, Idaho until he was an adult. Don started to learn music at an early age, forming his first band at sixteen, playing locally. A few years later, he traveled to Las Vegas, California and Washington, wherever his bookings took him. Don was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame for his contribution to early rock and roll music. He wrote hundreds of songs, performing throughout the United States and also internationally; a career he loved and enjoyed for parts of six decades. He met and married the love of his life Barbara Martin in 1957. In 1959 the first of four kids was born, in 1969 they made a permanent move to Spokane, opening an upholstery business, in 1985 they opened a family business (Weises Place) which they operated for the next 23 years. Don was preceded in death by his mother and father and brothers Jerry and Melvin Weise. Don is survived by his wife of 55 years Barbara and their children: Mary Weise, Shelly Weise-Riblet, Dj Weise and Robin Weise; five grandkids: Christopher Weise, Cole Riblet, Luke Riblet, Mary Riblet and Brittany Icard; brothers: John Weise and Thomas Kimball; sisters: Theresa Adams and Barbara Ann Kauffman; niece JoAnne Weise Mohrland; numerous other nieces and nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many more
