DoLores, 90, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Pettigrew, Arkansas to Mattie and Harrison Brown, DoLores was raised in Greenacres and made it her lifelong home.

She married Courtney Whitney on October 31, 1952, and they shared 38 years of marriage until his passing in 1991. In 1992, she married Rondle Turnbough, with whom she lovingly shared the remainder of her life.

A woman of steadfast faith, DoLores devoted her life to the Lord and to the children she cherished. She served joyfully in many roles: teaching first grade at Baptist Temple School, leading children’s church programs, and pouring her heart into raising and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

DoLores was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her first husband Courtney Sr., her son Courtney Jr., and her grandson Courtney III.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Rondle; her children Randall (Sue), Walt, James, Kevin (Heidi), and Daren (Karri); her grandchildren Mattie (Aaron), Bailey (Thomas), Chelsey (Alex), Shelby, Tatiana, Brooklyn, Jacob, Jessica (Eric), Justin (Ashley), Kaitlyn (Zack), Macy, and Brady; and by her 19 beloved great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. Though she will be missed dearly, may we take comfort in knowing she now rests in the arms of her Savior.

Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Valleypoint Church, 714 S Pines, Spokane Valley, WA. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will occur at Saltese Cemetery in Greenacres at 2:30 pm.
