David Karl Dittberner 1935-2024

David K Dittberner was born September 27, 1935, to Karl and Flossie Dittberner and passed away October 12, 2024 at the age of 89. He was the youngest of 4 children and graduated from Plummer, ID High school in 1954. He was an Army veteran and retired from WWP/Avista as a gas meter foreman after 37 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cribbage and pinochle as well as craps at the casino. Dave was a member of the Spokane muzzleloader club and made many rifles as well as beautiful knives and participated in numerous rendezvous over the years with his family and the gun club. 

He is survived by Mavis, his wife of 69 years, son Dan (Christen) of Sherrills Ford, NC, daughter Pam (Cecil) of Everett, WA, granddaughter Dakota of Everett, WA, brother Donald (Roswitha) of Potomac MD, sister Helen Freeman of Laguna Hills, CA, sisters-in-law Loraine Orness of Spokane and Mikey Lebo of Post Falls, ID as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Florence DeShields of the Spokane Valley.

He loved his friends and family and was a wonderful father and a beautiful soul. He will be missed beyond measure. A celebration of life will be held at the end of November.
