David A Colombo

March 20, 1947 - February 21, 2015

COLOMBO, David A. (age 67) - David Arthur Colombo was born in Kellogg, Idaho, in March of 1947, to Katie and Louis Colombo. He passed away February 21, 2015, in the Spokane Valley, WA. He was raised in the Silver Valley and moved to Spokane in 1966 to attend SCC, where he met and married Barbara Allison in 1968. They soon started their family and, in 1972, moved to the Spokane Valley. Dave worked in the mines in the Silver Valley and in construction before going to work at ASC Machine Tool in 1974, retiring in 2013. Family was one of the most important things in life to Dave and he enjoyed camping and fishing with them often. He was a loving, caring and generous husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Dave joined his family as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses when he dedicated his life to Jehovah God on September 5, 1992. He was very busy as a Ministerial Servant in the Veradale Congregation. He and Barb enjoyed working on many Kingdom Hall projects throughout the state. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Shelley Anne. He is survived by Barb, his wife of 47 years; sisters, Carlette Raccaro and Nanette Colombo; daughter, Carnette (Cameron) Ball; son, David (Stephanie) Colombo; grandchildren, Scott (Cassandra) Ball, Marc Ball, and Maranda and Harley Colombo. He also had many surrogate grandchildren. Dave will be dearly missed, not only by his family but by countless friends who loved his company. While these past months have been very difficult for Dave, his family and friends, he knew that there was a better life promised in God’s word the Bible and Dave’s hope was to be resurrected in paradise on earth and be reunited with the friends and family that he loved so dearly – Revelation 21:2, 4; John 11:25. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 949 N Syringa St, Post Falls, Idaho, on Saturday March 7, at 2 p.m. Community Cremation & Funeral Spokane Valley - 13127 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99216, (509)926-2020 - Communitycremationandfuneral.com
