Darrell "Ray" Howry Born September 24, 1958 in Spokane, WA to Darrell and Betty Howry. He passed away on May 14, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Ray met the love of his life, Kelly Bass, and they were married on a hot summer day in July 2003. Ray loved riding motorcycles and ATV's (he would come home all muddy when on the ATV's). He loved the outdoors, fishing, baseball/softball and soccer. He volunteered as a youth baseball and softball coach for 15 years. He met his wife through bowling. He loved his Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves, if you needed to know anything about these two teams he either knew the answer or would look it up. He was also a fan of the Seattle Mariners, and he watched the Seahawks for his wife. He had a passion for music, tried to learn the electric guitar, his favorite bands were KISS and Queen, he could answer any question you had about either band and their band members, he is now in heaven with Freddie Mercury. He said his ultimate concert was when he got to see Queen at the Tacoma Dome, it wasn't Freddie leading the band but he was very impressed! His other passion was cooking. He was a Chef in the Spokane area for over 30 years. He loved cooking for his family and friends, even catered a few weddings. He is preceeded in death by his father George Darrell Howry and is survived by his loving wife Kelly, daugher Tyanne, Mother Betty, Sisters Cindy (Bill) and Debbie (Pat), Brother-In-Law Bruce (Janet), numerous neices and nephews, numerous great neices and nephews and a multitude of friends including his best friend Don and his family. His furbabies Sherlock and Hannah who miss him dearly! In lieu of flowers donations to help the family would be greatly appreciated, or donations to your favorite animal rescue group. Services will be Friday July 7th, 2023 at 11:00am at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA, 99205. He will be getting his final motorcycle ride to the services.
