Connie Marie Estes, 64, of Spokane Valley, Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with bone cancer.
Connie was born on June 6, 1962, in Buffalo, New York. She met the love of her life, Steven, in Niagara Falls, New York, where they made their home before building 30 beautiful years together in Boise, Idaho, and finally in Spokane Valley, Washington.
For over 20 years, Connie served others as a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in homecare and nursing homes. She cared for her patients with the same compassion she showed everyone she met. A Christian for over 20 years, her faith guided her gentle spirit.
Connie loved the outdoors — sunrises and sunsets, camping under open skies, and fishing whenever she could. She adored cats and found joy in simple, quiet moments. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh that lit up every room. Those who knew her will remember her as the nicest, kindest, sweetest human being — a woman who loved
unconditionally.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Alethe Munn.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Steven Estes; her older sister, Joyce Munn; her younger brother, Jack Munn; her nephew, Nicholas Boring; and her many friends, patients, and beloved cats.
Connie embodied unconditional love. She loved her husband more than words can say, as he loved her. She will be forever missed and there will forever be a hole in his heart. He loved her more than anything in this world and misses her so very much.
