April 10, 1936 - June 14, 2015

Colleen Mullenix went home to be with our loving Lord on June 14, 2015. She passed after a year-long battle with bile duct and liver cancer. Colleen was born in Flathead, Montana, on April 10, 1936, to Floyd and Gladys Buck. She was the older of two brothers, Duane and Dale Buck. When the family was complete with the three children, the Buck family made Spokane their permanent home. Colleen graduated from Rogers High School in 1954, and was an active member of Job's Daughters, Pirates, Red Cross, and was a Big Sister. Soon after graduation Colleen married John Mullenix, of Spokane; they were married 19 years. Together they had two children, Mark and Pam. Colleen was deeply devoted to her family and no matter what the task she gave it her all! She worked full-time and was a full-time mother. She worked in the banking industry for 50 years in the proof department as a supervisor/manager. She resigned for the first time from Wells Fargo then returned to work for a short time at Inland Northwest Bank where she retired for good. She spent her retirement years traveling with her daughter Pam and loving on her grandchildren. She had her dream house built in the Spokane Valley in 2010. Colleen loved to have gatherings at her home and playing cards with her friends and neighbors several times a week. She belonged to several Bunko groups, was a member of the New Comers Club in the Spokane Valley and worked on the Reunion Planning Committees for Rogers High School. She had a fun spirit and enjoyed telling jokes, laughing, and just having fun no matter where she was. She is survived by her daughter Pam Waters, four grandchildren: Chad Waters, Andrea Waters, Justin Mullenix and Brandon Mullenix and seven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in her death by her parents, brother Duane Buck, and son Mark Mullenix. She will be deeply missed. Memorial will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in the Sunset Chapel Friday, June 26th at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service at Spokane Memorial Gardens immediately following the service
