Claudia JoAnn Stariha Ladd

November 9, 1944 - November 5, 2024

Claudia JoAnn Stariha Ladd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom Claudia JoAnn Stariha-Ladd on November 5th, 2024, at her home in Spokane Washington.  She took such loving care of everyone in her family and spent a full life with our dad Edward Ray Ladd who passed away before her in 2014.  Mom leaves behind her son Justin M Ladd and her daughter Laura Ladd Sorrell.   She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and those who were blessed to have been a part of her life.

Our mom was kind, caring and always giving when the need presented itself.  She had many charities and organizations that she participated in through many years.  She was always trying to find a way to serve others.  Mom was an incredibly talented artist of fabric and continued to sew and design masterpieces up to the very end.

Mom was born in Hibbings Mintisota on November 9th, 1944, to Daisy Stariha and John Stariha.  She met our dad in high school, and they were married in Joliet Illinois. Mom was registered with the ARRT (R)(M) and worked as a radiologic technologist.  She had a lengthy career and found herself at her best as a mammographer.  All the years we were being raised, mom balanced work and family like a pro.

Growing up mom lived by the words of Jesus Christ and introduced her savior to the family.  I know my mom interceded in the lives of everyone she interacted with and brought their needs in prayer to the cross.

Mom has 5 grandchildren. Jordan M Sorrell Shriber, Taylor Sorrell, Tristan Sorrell, Wilson Ladd, and Ian Ladd.  She has two great grandchildren, Aiden Schriber and Artemis Schriber.

Mom requested that there not be services held in her honor and as her family we will respect her wishes.  With this we all say goodbye to one of the most important people in our lives and truly the heart of our family.
