Claudia (Age 71) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 10th. She was born in Spokane, WA on May 24th, 1945, and is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Muriel (Power) Blue. An only child, she attended grade school at St Xavier's and high school at Holy Names Academy. Claudia spent many weekends working on the family farm in Chewelah, WA. Later she went on to graduate from Sacred Heart School of Nursing where she began her lifelong vocation of caring for others as a Registered Nurse. Claudia worked in numerous settings during her professional career. Her sharp clinical skills and caring demeanor served her well, and saw her through an admiral career working in numerous environments, including Alaska, doctor offices, Parish Nursing, the old Deer Park Clinic and Hospital, and later at Sacred Heart Hospital where she honed her surgical skills in the operating room on the Open Heart floor. She eventually earned her way up as the Assistant Nurse Manager, touching many patient and family lives, as well as many fellow employees. Claudia finished her illustrious career back at Deer Park Hospital where she managed Infection Control and Outpatient Surgical Services. Upon retirement, she had more time for things she loved most--spending time with her family and pets, RVing, gardening, crafting, and genealogy. Some of her favorite times were spent backpacking with her husband and camping with her grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Dan; son Joel Moberly; daughter Nikki and son-in-law Jeremy Long; and granddaughters Corinna and Carissa Peden, and Kylie Long.
