SNOVER, Clarence D. - (Age 81) - Mr. Snover passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the age of 81 years. He was born on September 18, 1935, in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of George Snover and Lillian (Wright). He served his country with distinction as a member of the United States Army in Germany during the 1950s. Clarence was united in holy marriage with Patricia L. Kienbaum on September 17, 1960 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Snover was employed at the Bay City Times, Bay City, Michigan, initially as a linotype operator, then as a sports writer. He retired in 1997, and the couple moved to Spokane, WA. He worked several years for Spokane International Airport and Downtown Honda. Clarence was a dedicated father with a passion for sports. He was quick-witted with a ready laugh and well-loved by everyone who met him. Mr. Snover was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Spokane. He was a faithful and dedicated Christian until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and his children and spouses, Mark (Molly) Snover; David Snover; Tricia (Chris) Tabar, all of Spokane, WA; Daniel (Kimberly Jo) Snover of Bay City, MI; 11 grand-children and one great-grandson. Also surviving is his sister Ruth and (Larry) McKay, Midland, MI. Clarence was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Pastor Matthew Kimmel will officiate.
