Christopher Jon Absalonson

Christopher Jon Absalonson of Colbert, WA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, October 25, at the age of 60. He was born on September 18, 1966 in Spokane, WA.
After a short time in the Army National Guard, and being honorably discharged, he spent 15 years in the automotive industry, before he purchased and operated a resort with the love of his life Tami Kay Absalonson. He married Tami in 2001, and together they shared 25 wonderful years. Chris enjoyed boating, working on his cars, going fast in said cars, off-roading, shooting, and campfires. His favorite place to be was the deck at his cabin on the Pend Oreille River at dawn, looking over the river as the sun rose, enjoying hot coffee and a full breakfast. Chris valued nothing more than his family and friends, he was known for his loyalty, generosity, and unconditional love.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Harlan Absalonson; his father in-law, Earl Robinette; and his bonus brothers Michael Cain, and Mike Fender. We know Chris is up there now fishing and having cold beers with them and many more of his late friends. He is survived by his mother, Carol Absalonson; his wife, Tami Absalonson; his children, Jonathan Absalonson, and Kaylee Absalonson; his bonus children, Bryeana Myrick, Wyatt Working; his siblings, Joe Absalonson, Lisa Lasswell (Randy Lasswell), and Sue Wellen; his bonus brother Manuel Homen (Maria Homen); numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends he considered brothers and sisters.
We are going to celebrate his life on July 31 beginning at noon at 405351 N Hwy 20 in Cusick, WA. Chris hated funerals, so this will be the kind of party he would’ve thrown, floating the river, barbecuing, enjoying campfires, with many beverages and stories to supplement. All who want to attend are welcome. We can’t wait to celebrate him by doing the things he loved, with the people he loved, at the place he loved. For further updates see Jonathan Absalonson’s page on Facebook.
As he would’ve signed off, cheers.
