Charlotte Ann Thoma

December 07, 1937 - November 17, 2013

THOMA, Charlotte Ann December 7th 1937 - November 17th 2013 In Loving Memory Born Charlotte Ann Jellison, daughter of Roy and Betty Jellison of Alamosa CO, entered into heaven on November 17th at the age of 75. Charlotte moved to the Spokane Valley at a young age with her parents and two sisters, Marie and Catherine. Charlotte grew up a devout Catholic and attended St. Paschal School, Marycliff School and Holy Names. She then attended Drezden Modeling School and took a job modeling for the Crescent Store and also worked at the Dishman Theater. In 1956, Charlotte married Erich Thoma, the true love of her life. They had three children; Cathy, Chris and Robert. Charlotte was extremely artistic. She loved china painting, Brazilian needle point and making china dolls. She cherished the moments of having family and friends over whether it was for pinochle parties, dinner or just visits. Her other love was her German Shepherds she raised throughout her life-Tasha, Rachael and Gabby. Later in life Charlotte went to nursing school and devoted her life to nursing and caregiving. Her career expanded from working at Sacred Heart hospital, the VA hospital, Rockwood clinic, home health for the developmentally disabled, and the Holy Names Assisted Living facility helping the retired nuns. Charlotte loved reading and attended literature groups, she was a member of the local VFW, she also housed exchange students for Gonzaga University and supplied emergency housing for individuals in crisis. Charlotte had the biggest heart of anyone and her door was always open. She will be remembered by these words she always shared with others. ""Don't cherish (things) because (things) can be replaced, but rather cherish ""people"", because they cannot"". A beautiful woman that has left us too soon and has left an imprint of love in everyone's hearts she touched. We love and miss you! A celebration of life will be held at a future date for friends and family.
