Charles "Chuck" Edward Harris

Charles E. Harris, Born February 1, 1953, Died July 8, 2024.


Chuck graduated from North Central High, the second generation of four generations of the Harris family to do so, and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1972 to 1978. He attended Spokane Community College receiving AAS degrees in Biomed Technologies and Electronic Technology. He had a varied work history through the years ending his work life as a Residential Treatment Services Specialist working in the Chemical Dependency Treatment industry.


His interests and hobbies included hunting and fishing with his father as a young man, bowling, square dancing, and games of chance. Closest to his heart was his family. Not a day went by that he didn’t put his loved ones first, making sacrifices of himself for all of us. Today, tomorrow, always may you rest in peace my love.


Preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Thelma Harris, and his sister, Nancy Potter.


Survived by his wife of 49 years Laurie; daughters Angela (Timothy Snead), and Melinda (Randyll Hance); and granddaughter, Melanie Snead; and brother Chester Harris.


Please join us as we celebrate his life at 3 p.m. on July 31, 2024, at the Spokane Valley Library, Diane E Zahand Community Room, 22 N. Herald Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206.

I so very much enjoyed working with Chuck. He always had a smile, a chuckle with an awesome sense of humor and a positive attitude.


Chuck was a dedicated and compassionate colleague. A person to have been proud to work with and know. He will be forever missed and impossible to forget. 💙
