Calvin Scott Prewitt

April 4, 1985 – June 23, 2026

With great sadness, Calvin Scott was taken from us way too soon.

Calvin was born on April 4, 1985 in Spokane, Washington and passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026 with his mother, his  stepfather, Greg, and his Grandma by his side during this difficult time.

Calvin was a fun loving, adventurous guy with a generous heart, wonderful sense of humor, and a larger than life laugh that could be heard from afar.  He loved nature and outdoors.  He found joy in hanging with his family, his friends, and their kids at the nearest campsite, fishing hold, or backyard barbecue.  He absolutely LOVED their kids as his own and was known to known as Uncle Cal.  HE would often be found spending time at Power Lake with his dad, Uncle Ky, and friends.  Spontaneous road trips and concerts with friends were a must!  His favorite part of life was spending all the time he could with his Grandpa Bob and Grandma Joan.   Whether he was in Spokane on a tractor or in Yuma on a golf cart, his heart was full of love and life lessons from them.   Calvin was preceded in death by his father, Scott; three grandfathers: Bob Taylor, Dale Kronich, and Ron Prewitt; grandmother Gloria Prewitt; and best friend Brandon Bushy.

Calvin’s greatest gift was living each day to the fullest.  He loved working with tools- on cars, trucks, in construction and handyman jobs, etc- all with skills acquired from Grandpa Bob.  He also attended HVAC classes at Spokane Community College.    His greatest gift to others was the love he gave so freely to the people in his life without ever expecting anything in return.

There will be an emptiness in his absence words cannot express
