Passed away June 9, 2014 in Spokane, WA. Byron was born November 11, 1947 to Lucile and Wilson Saunders in Spokane, WA. He graduated from North Central High School in 1967 and proudly served in the Navy from 1967 to 1969. He was a Vietnam veteran serving aboard the USS Canberra. Byron was employed by Deaconess Hospital for 35 years. He loved traveling, fishing, outdoors and caring for his loving family pets, Tekoa and Missy. His quiet ways will be missed by all, especially his father, Wilson; his sisters, Nancy (Greg) and Barbara (Larry); nephews, Steve and Marc (Samantha) and their children Elijah and Lexi. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucile and one brother, Brian. There will be a private family interment at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice House, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
