May 27, 1928 - December 14, 2021
Betty Jean (Moore) Cartwright was born May 27th, 1928, to Harry and Martha Moore in Pageton, West Virginia. She left on the wings of angels to join her husband of 76 years, of which 52 of those years were spent together, Dewey Elbert Cartwright Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Sr, three sons: Dewey Jr, John and Bill. One daughter; Beverly Semple. One granddaughter; Marni Cartwright and four sons-in-law; Jerry Semple, Bruce White, Ronald McCabe and Jerry Henley. Betty is survived by her brother Frank Moore, her three daughters: Mary (Steve) Routhier, Janice White and Pamela Alford (Ronnie), and her son Thomas (Susie), and Sandy. She had 26 grandkids, 51 great grandkids and 17 great-great grandkids with an 18th on the way. Betty also has several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed such activities as quilting, sewing, reading and doing a variety of different puzzles. However, her favorite thing to do was spend time with the family she loved so much. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Although she lived a fulfilled life of 93 years, working odd jobs but mostly taking care of her family, she was still taken all too soon to those who knew her.
