Betty Ann Hunter (Age 87) went to be with our Lord on October 10, 2017. Her strong Christian faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior gave her the daily peace of knowing she would be with Him and her loved ones in Heaven. She was born in Spokane, WA on October 16, 1929 to her Swedish parents, Bertha E. and John E. Anderson (a prominent early 20th century home builder and designer of 46 homes on the South Hill). Betty Ann grew up embracing her Swedish heritage. Her father helped start the Spokane Chapter of Vasa, a Swedish Club. She attended Lewis and Clark H.S. and then went into the nursing program at Swedish Hospital and the U of W. There she met the love of her life, Robert E. Hunter. They married in 1952, lived in Shelton, WA, Georgia and Maryland while having 3 daughters. They then moved to Venezuela for 8 years, before returning to Spokane to live near family. Betty Ann enjoyed Vasa, gardening, and was also very active in the Stamp Club. She and her husband Bob, loved big family gatherings and traveling together. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Morris and his wife Margie, and her loving husband Bob. She is survived by her 3 daughters: Carolyn (Richard Flaa), Shirley (Ralph Anderson), Susan Sheets, and her foster son Kevin Stuss. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren: Justin (Mandy), Jared (Kara), and Tasha, along with 7 great grandchildren: Anika, Logan, Emma, Bryson, Hunter, Karsten, and Nathan.
