April 11, 1927 - October 13, 2026

Our Mom, Gram, Great Grandman, and Great Great Grandma passed away peacefully in her home on October 13, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.  Mom was strong in faith, family, and friends.

Mom was born in Garryowen, Montana to William and Maudina Drake.  Mom had four brothers and three sisters, of which she was the second youngest.  Mom grew up on a farm and attending school in Crow Agency and Hardin, Montana.  She went to school in Billings, Montana where she learned to be a telegrapher and eventually moved to Spokane, Washington where she met Victor Chimienti.  Mom and Dad were married October 2, 1948.  They had one son and daughter-in-law, Von and Debbie Chimienti.  Mom was blessed with two grandsons, Sam and Joe, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren with one on the way.

Mom and Dad enjoyed spending time with family, playing Bridge and Pinochle in couples groups, and were avid ballroom dancers.

Mom had unlimited love and pride for her family.  She enjoyed the many sleepovers with all the grandkids.  Mom’s family and friends meant the world to her.  She enjoyed traveling with family and friends to many countries around the world.

Mom loved golf and enjoyed competing in the city tournaments.  She was a member of the Wandermere Ladies 18-hold group where she was also president twice.  She valued the many friends that gold brought into her life and always bragged about her tow hole-in-ones.

Mom loved music, playing the organ, and singing in the church choir.  She was an active member of Immanual Baptist Church for 56 years and then a member of Trinity Baptist.

Mom worked for Intermountain Euipment for six years and then volunteered at Holy Family Hospital and the Spokane Eye Clinic for several years.

Mom is survived by her son, Von Chimienti (Deb), grandsons Sam Chimienti (Lisa) and Joe Chimienti (Lindsey), Camie Chimienti, ten great-grandchildren: Saylor, Gracie, Jaxon, Kylie, Donovan, Reece, Evelynn, Maesa, Chloe, and Layla; and 2 great grandchildren, Moxon and Honey, and one on the way.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Victor, and her four brothers and three sisters.

May your love of life shine upon us and give us peace!
