In Loving Memory of

Barbara Ann Ritchey

March15, 1931 - September 28, 2025

Barbara Ann Ritchey passed away peacefully at her home in Mead, WA, on September 28, 2025, surrounded by her children.  She was born on March 15, 1931, in Jerome ID, to Lee and Ella McVey. Barbara was deeply loved and highly regarded in her community; known for her kindness, generosity, and caring heart. Her quiet strength,  compassion,  and steady presence touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in simple moments,  laughter in family gatherings, and purpose in helping others. She was preceded in death by her husband Dick Ritchey,  her son David Ritchey, and her much beloved sister, Marjorie Madesh. Barbara was lucky to find love a second time in this life with Eugene Field (deceased). Barbara is survived by her children Rik Ritchey,  Jo Burchell,  Tim Ritchey, and Eric Ritchey; 10 grand children, 18 great grandchildren,  and 9 great great grandchildren. Her love and spirit live on in each of them. A memorial celebration of her life will be held on October 24th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Fairmount Memorial Park's Sunset Chapel.  Family and friends are invited to join us in remembrance of a life filled with love, kindness, and grace.

Family are requesting donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
