December 23, 1982 - June 08, 2023

Obituary for Anthony “Tony” D. Longinotti IV The world lost one of the all-time greats when our beloved husband, father, son, and brother Anthony Darrel Longinotti IV died June 8, 2023 after a courageous journey through cancer. Tony was born December 23, 1982 and grew up in Spokane, WA. His kindergarten teacher pronounced him “a happy boy” and he was that — his constant smile and warm personality made him instant friends. Tony graduated from Saint George’s School and Gonzaga University. He loved sports and many in the Panorama League remember him. None who saw it will ever forget his incredible penalty kick that gave SGS their first state soccer championship in 2000. After college and a brief adventure living in Virginia, Tony wisely moved back to the PNW and thankfully met the love of his life, Laura, who welcomed Tony’s very close (some might say overbearing) family, and they married in 2015. Best of friends and loving partners, they soon welcomed daughter Avery and son Wesley. Laura was Tony’s guardian angel throughout his illness, and in times of health, they were able to have many wonderful adventures doing things Tony loved such as camping, travel (including a particularly fabulous trip to Spain and Italy), and various home improvement projects. (He never met a tool or gadget he didn’t need to own.) Though their marriage was cut much too short, they have created a lifetime’s worth of love and memories. Tony was one of the nicest, most outgoing people, and during his career at URM, he made many friends he truly loved. We are so grateful for their compassion and caring during his illness, allowing him to work when able and feel like a valuable member of the team, and showing just how loved he was. Thank you to oncology surgery team at CCNW and the entire care team at Deaconess 10 Tower. You gave us the precious gift of time with Tony, and we are grateful. Tony especially loved his family, and we miss him so very much. Nothing will ever fill the hole he leaves behind. He is survived by his wife Laura, children Avery and Wesley, his parents Laurie Sundstrom and Tony and Patty Longinotti, devoted sisters Pia, Cara and Katie Longinotti, his nephews and niece, his grandfather Charles Pat Lund II, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  We love you Pooh. Tony’s wife and parents would like to invite his family and friends to join us in celebrating his too short but wonderful life on Saturday, July 15th, 2023. We will be having a memorial service at St. John’s Cathedral at 3:00-4:00pm, directly followed by a celebration of life gathering at Saint George’s School at 4:30pm - 7:30pm. There will be time for sharing stories, sharing a meal and drinks, and remembering the man we all miss so much.
