Annie Roberts entered into rest on August 13, 2022, in Spokane, WA. She was born July 21, 1933, in Walnut Grove, CA to Owyang Yook Kee Cheung Hoy and Mar Shee Yook Lin Cheung. She attended grade school in Walnut Grove and high school in Courtland, CA. She worked for the federal civil service where she was a Logistics Control Manager and contract negotiator for the FAA for 25 years. After she retired she moved to Spokane from Sacramento to be near the children and grandchildren. Annie loved road trips, gardening, fishing, and the occasional trip to the casino. She had quite the green thumb when it came to houseplants, preferring to use them in place of curtains. You could always tell which place was hers by looking at the windows and seeing the large, healthy plants in them. She loved to go on trips to visit family. She and her younger daughter, Kathy, made many road trips down to California together and always came back with great stories of their adventures. Later she and her older daughter, Karen, would fly down for visits. They attended family functions like weddings, birthdays, and Red Egg celebrations. She was always fun to travel with. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Henry Cheung, her sisters Lila Randall and Elizabeth Ow, her son Kenneth Roberts, and her son-in-law Daryl Lyle. She is survived by her daughters Karen Lyle (Scott Wiggins) and Kathy Dalager (Ed Dalager), 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great-grandchildren, her brother Richard Cheung and sister Mary Palomares as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, on Friday, September 2nd at 11:00 am.
