Travis is survived by his wife, Danielle Arnold of Spokane Valley, his precious small dog Fizzgig, his beloved parents Andrew and June Arnold of Front Royal, VA, his brother Thomas Dickinson Jr. of Winchester, VA, his nephews Ian Dickinson of Martinsburg, WV, and Colin Dickinson of Winchester, VA, his aunts: Donna Schluchter, of Elmore, OH, Marie Arnold, Triangle, VA, and Peggy Conley, of Dumfries VA and lastly, his mother-in-law Tami Jones of Olympia, WA. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jared Jones, father-in-law Michael Jones and all of his grandparents.

Travis lived in Front Royal, VA for the early part of his life. In 2007, he took a brave jump to Spokane Valley to join his then girlfriend to begin a new adventure. Travis and Danielle married in July of 2008 in her grandparents' backyard in Olympia, WA surrounded by friends and family alike. A year later they added the most perfect dog and named him Fizzgig. From college, karate, sporting events, musicals/plays, guitar playing and so much more, their lives were filled with adventures. Travis’s days were spent fulfilling the demands of one small dog that he loved dearly and working from home on developing computer applications.

Travis was a highly intelligent, reserved and creative person. He thrived in using his mind to create something from a mere idea in his head. He was always looking to learn a new skill be it picking up the guitar or playing the piano. He also enjoyed teaching himself trades such as plumbing basics or how to implement a new sprinkler setup by creating architecture plans. He never shied away from challenging his mind and always created something that most people couldn’t have imagined. To no shock of those who knew him, his mind was always looking for a challenge. He gravitated to all things nerdy – Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, video games, deep diving into history, comics (Batman, X-Men, Deadpool), karate – all of the things. As an avid learner, he thoroughly loved and enjoyed the nerd life and gobbling up new information.

One of his proudest accomplishments was earning his black belt in Traditional Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate from Sensei Gene Villa, of Spokane, WA. His journey in karate began in 2018 in the hopes of again learning a new skill and in the end, he walked into a place that became home and became a member of the best karate family. He loved and appreciated each one of his dojo family members and was always seeking their advice and guidance. He made an impact on them as much as they made an impact on him.

For the few humans Travis called friend, he showed off his beautiful mind and quick wit in his quiet and sarcastic Travis way with the briefest of smirks and a small chuckle. With his dry sense of humor and the knowledge to backup any thought he had, he was a force. He was loving and patient with everyone he met and had an extra soft spot for animals. His presence although quiet was so strong and he will be dearly missed by all of the people that knew and loved him.

In lieu of a service, we ask that you tap into your inner Travis and challenge yourself to learn something new this year and every year going forward. We hope you find the thirst for knowledge that Travis so very much drew inspiration from, and when you do, please take a moment to remember a fond memory of Travis, as he will always remain with us in our hearts and thoughts.
