March 23, 1943 - March 28, 2017
FLAA, Allen Charles (Bud), - Allen Bud Flaa passed into the Lords kingdom on March 28th, surrounded by his loved ones. He was one of eleven brothers and sisters. He graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1961. He was very proud to have served his country in the Air force as a meteorologist. Bud could tell anybody what the weather would be like on a daily basis. Most of his working career was spent in the dairy business where he began loading trucks and did most every job, and retired as Vice President in charge of production for Inland Northwest Dairies. Throughout those years he gained many life-long friends. He found great joy and happiness in spending time with his family. In doing so, he loved fishing, camping, viewing wildlife (especially eagles) four wheeling and spending his winters in the desert. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Marie Flaa; brother, John Flaa; sister, Elizabeth (Tip) Crigger; his loving wife, Vera (Babe) Flaa; and daughter in law, Jena Flaa. He is survived by eight brothers and sisters, Dorothy Blain, Rose Roberts, Margaret Justus, Roger Flaa, Catherine Jackson, Richard Flaa, Christine Lynch and Theresa Simpson; his children, Alton Flaa, Jeff Flaa, Kim Kjolseth, Glenda Kyle, Cindy Malicoat, Debbie Stevens, and Rick Haag; twenty-two grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and loved. Bud was the most gracious, kind hearted and loving man you would ever be blessed to know. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, at Westgate Christian Church. 7111 Nine Mile Falls Road, Spokane WA 99208.
