Will James McGurk

September 28, 1962 - July 15, 2016

Passed peacefully in his home on July 15, 2016 after a long 3-year battle with colon cancer. He was surrounded by many of his close family members and friends, listening to music on a Friday night. Will was born on September 28, 1962 in Spokane where he spent most of his life. - He is survived by; his wife Michelle McGurk, his father, Patrick McGurk, his mother Nancy Hughes, three daughters, Stephanie McGurk (Gabriel), Brittanie McGurk, and McKenzie McGurk, his sister Christine McGurk (Cummings), two granddaughters, Myah Larkin-Gabriel, and Soffie Gabriel as well as his cat Fang. As well as many other relatives who he cherished. He is preceded in death by his brother Dennis McGurk. Will was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend. He had a great passion for muscle cars and music. He spent his life working for National Maintenance Contractors, which he enjoyed. He devoted his life to taking care of his family and friends and enjoyed many weekends with his family and friends, listening to music, barbecuing, and drinking beer. Will was a man of his word, with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. He will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at the Big Barn Brewery: 16004 North Applewood Lane, Mead, WA 99021. Please dress casually and wear blue, the color designated for colon cancer awareness.
