ANDERSON, Violet (age 83)
Violet was born December 19, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Everett Franklin Smith and Mable (Shauger) Smith, and passed away at home on December 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Arthur, Everett, Duane and Charlotte, and children Marilee Ward and Stuart Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, R. Keith Anderson; siblings Dennis (Gladys) Smith and Kathy Ann Smith; children, Michael (Cora) Anderson and Kevin L. Anderson. Surviving grandchildren are Duane, Erika (Nathan) Poston, Trina (Dan) Heiligenstein, Jessika Lewis, Monika (Dan) Buckles, Rebecka Anderson, Andrew (Ashley) Ward. Also surviving are seven great- grandchildren, Michael, Parker, Andie, Ava, Hudson, Troyer and Jack. A resident of Spokane since 1968, Vi previously attended schools in Wisconsin and Salem Oregon and worked as a teachers aid in Corvallis, Oregon, before the family moved to Spokane. She volunteered her help and talents to several Dist. 81 elementary schools over the years. She was devoted to her family, and they to her. She was the cornerstone of this family and will be sorely missed. There will be no formal services at this time, perhaps a memorial picnic this summer.
