Steven John Schueller

April 11, 1962 - April 16, 2021

On Friday, April 16th, 2021, Steven John Schueller(Age 59) the father of 4 children, passed away at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Steven was born April 11th, 1962 in Graceville, MN to Francis and Ramona Schueller. He moved to St. Maries, ID with his parents and 7 siblings in 1963. He attended school and graduated from SMHS in 1980. In 1993, Steven and Brandy (McGavran) married and had 4 wonderful children, Peyton, Elijah, Gage, and Dakota. The family moved from St. Maries to Bonner, MT where Steven was employed. He enjoyed the outdoors and because of his love for the mountains, he decided to attend the University of Montana, working toward a degree in forestry. Steven stayed in Bonner after Brandy and the kids moved to Spokane WA. Later he moved to Post Falls, ID to be closer to his kids. He met and married Kris Denny in October 2014. Kris adored Steven’s kids which made him very happy. Steven and Kris enjoyed their dachshund dogs and were huge Montana Grizzly fans. As a proud dad, Steven always made it very clear how much he loved his kids. He was always teaching them, from playing music trivia to helping them learn species of trees and names of plants. When he would play music trivia with them, he always had Classic Rock on the radio (which is 60-80’s music) so needless to say, he always won. Steven always wanted his kids to be raised in the mountains so he could teach them how to hunt and fish and enjoy what he loved. Cooking for his kids, was Steven’s favorite pastime. He was always trying new recipes. He watched cooking shows, called family for recipes, and scoured through cookbooks and magazines for recipes. We always said he took after Grandma Schueller in the cooking department. Steven is preceded in death by his father, Francis Schueller, his mother, Ramona Schueller, his wife, Kris Schueller, his brother-in-law, Mike Telford, and nephew, Troy Schueller. Steven is survived by his 4 children, Peyton (Jeff) Boone, Elijah, Gage, and Dakota Schueller, and his grandchildren, Delilah and Daniel Boone all of Spokane, WA. Steven is also survived by 7 siblings, Marcie Telford (Pat Bender), Patty (Skip) Harwood, Marilyn Czech, Tim (Boni) Schueller, Dede (Jeff) Shippy all of St. Maries, ID, Tammy (Dirk) McClendon, Krys (Mark) Martzall both from Spokane, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Steven donated both of his retinas to SightLife. There will be a Celebration of Steven’s Life later this summer. In honor of Steven and his love for the mountains you may purchase a tree to be planted in his name http://shop.alivingtribute.org/
