Scott was born in New York but grew up on the West Coast, where he fell in love with the area and lived there the rest of his life. He loved his country and served as a Marine where he fought 2 tours in the Vietnam war, as a scout sniper. Travelling took him to all 50 states and several countries. He loved his family, friends, nature, cooking, sports animals, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and the outdoors.Scott also enjoyed reading, learning music, cold beer, cocktails, a "puff" here and there, cards, movies, talking and joking around; he loved to see people happy and was a very generous person. Scott suffered from PTSD and other health ailments from the war but he still made the best of life and always kept on smiling and laughing, even through all the pain. He was so loved and will be so missed.
Scott is survived by his children, Lucas Coral Gilbert, Sarah Dawn Gilbert and Kimberly Sue Hollingsworth; former wife, Colleen Williams; siblings, Pam, Mark, Paulette and Terry; Grand children, Kobe Scott Gilbert, Jaden Scott Hollingsworth, and Brooke Kayleen Hollingsworth; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
